Indian Board of Vocational and Technical Education (New Delhi)
Whereas skill development, vocational education, and technical training constitute essential pillars for individual empowerment, economic growth, and national development;
And whereas there exists a need to establish a structured, transparent, and standardized system for vocational and technical education that ensures quality, credibility, and accessibility across diverse sectors of society;
And whereas it is considered necessary to promote competency-based learning, industry-aligned curricula, fair assessment mechanisms, and accountable accreditation practices;
And whereas the advancement of vocational and technical education requires coordinated governance, ethical administration, and continuous quality improvement;
Now, therefore, the Indian Board of Vocational and Technical Education is hereby established as an autonomous and professionally governed body with the objective of promoting, regulating, and standardizing vocational and technical education programs.
The Board shall function in accordance with its Vision, Mission, Objectives, and Bye-Laws, and shall be committed to the principles of transparency, inclusivity, academic integrity, and institutional accountability.
In furtherance of these principles and commitments, this Constitution and the accompanying Bye-Laws are hereby adopted to guide the functioning, administration, and regulation of the Board.
